The intention of the event is to raise money for charity whilst at the same time having fun and camaraderie along the way with the potential satisfaction of completing the challenge and becoming a member of the “End to End” club.
This event is open to all Clients, Members and friends of NSA. It will start on Saturday 9th. May 2009 with a gathering and briefing at a hotel in Burnside just 20 miles from the start line at John O’ Groats. The start of the event will be on Sunday morning 10th May.
Each day the entrants will cover on average 200 miles. Every day there will be pre arranged stops and hotels for over night accommodation as well as daily activities!
The entrants will be supported by a team of experienced marshals as well as breakdown backup from local NSA Members.
The event is non competitive but there will be an opportunity to open up the throttle on a private track if you wish.
The event will finish on Friday 15th May at Land’s End followed by a gala dinner and prize giving at a hotel in Redruth Cornwall.
Along the way there will be an opportunity for our clients to join us either for dinner at the Barton Grange hotel near Preston or for the day at the Prescott hill climb course near Cheltenham.
The route will take the entrants to places of interest including Balmoral castle, a falconry centre and The Bugatti museum. There will be the opportunity of driving entered vehicles up the Prescott hill climb circuit. A lunch stop will be arranged at the NSA Operations Centre in Darlington which will give entrants the opportunity to meet the staff and look around the offices. And we are still building the itinerary.
Some interesting hotels have been secured along the route including the Craigendarroch Hilton, Dryburgh Abbey, Barton Grange, Alveston Manor and the Penventon. So come on and join us and let’s have some fun
